La estrella de Disney Demi Lovato suspendió su participación en la gira con Jonas Brothers y ha ingresado en un centro de rehabilitación por problemas "emocionales y físicos", según informa la web TMZ.

El nombre de Lovato se suma así al de Britney Spears y Lindsay Lohan, que fueron 'niñas Disney' y que en los últimos años pasaron temporadas bajo tratamiento médico por motivos psicológicos o para tratarse adicciones. Un reciente altercado violento con un miembro que forma parte de la gira de conciertos en los que estaba tomando parte fue el detonante que llevó a Lovato a buscar ayuda profesional.

"Demi ha decidido hacerse responsable de sus actos. Lamenta no ser capaz de finalizar el 'tour', pero está ansiosa por volver al trabajo en el futuro próximo", explicó el representante de la actriz y cantante. Lovato, de 18 años, se hizo popular apareciendo en programas de Disney y protagonizó las dos entregas de 'Camp Rock' (2008) junto con el trío Jonas Brothers.

En 2008, una serie de comportamientos erráticos llevaron Britney Spears a pasar una temporada en la planta psiquiátrica de un hospital en Los Ángeles y aún a día de hoy su padre, Jamie, sigue siendo su tutor legal. Lindsay Lohan fue detenida en 2007 por conducir ebria, un episodio que se complicó por el incumplimiento de la condena judicial y que la llevó a entrar en prisión. Lohan está actualmente ingresada en un centro de rehabilitación para tratar su adicción a las drogas.
